Why Donating to the Fund is important

Become a Powerhouse donor or fundraiser and help the local community thrive.

We are asking corporate donors to give in a way that has greater collective impact.

How donating will benefit your business

  • Charitable giving is easily managed, through a single annual donation into the fund.

  • Due diligence by OCF will save you valuable time and tax receipts will be provided.

  • Charity and CSR policies are easier to manage and communicate to stakeholders.

  • At least 90% of beneficiaries from the fund must live within the Didcot Garden Town Area of Influence.

  • An annual Impact Report will share updates on grant recipients. How money is being spent to help people locally.

  • Positively promote your business involvement in the Fund.

Promoting your business

All donors will receive recognition for giving through the Didcot Powerhouse Fund website, the Annual Impact Report and a newsletter which is published three times a year. There are also social media opportunities to engage with the Fund.

How much should I donate?

We welcome donations of all sizes but as a guideline for corporate and SMEs, we are proposing the following recommended tiers:

  • Quantum - £10,000 per year or more, over a 2 year period

  • Dynamo - Between £5,000 and £10,000 per year over a 2 year period

  • Joule – Between £1,000 and £5,000 per year over 2 years

  • Turbine - Donations of up to £1,000 or business donors who give ‘in kind’ support. The latter is key as providing products, services and personal time pro bono, help the fund to keep running costs to a minimum

Top-tier donors have their logo included on our donors page, a ‘thank you’ social media post, other associated communications. Plus they are invited to key events.
