Powerhouse member recognised for her community work

The Didcot Powerhouse Fund is delighted to share that our colleague Di Chesterman who is on the Powerhouse Advisory and Grants Panels, has been awarded a 2024 High Sheriff Award for her service to the Didcot community.

This is a highly prestigious award which this year received over 200 nominations from across the county of Oxfordshire and Di’s award is one of only 16 awards.

The Award Ceremony was held in Oxford on Monday 11th March and was a very moving and inspiring evening, where guests heard the citations of the award winners for their long and dedicated service to their communities.  Di was unable to attend the event in person so will receive her award in person from the High Sheriff on 25th March, at Milton Park.

Chair of The Didcot Powerhouse Fund, Elizabeth Paris said “The award recognises Di’s hard work in serving her local community over many years, but it is also recognition of the strong community spirit in Didcot, so as a team, we can celebrate the award to Didcot as well! Congratulations Di for all your work and in particular, for the support you give The Didcot Powerhouse Fund. We are very grateful for your efforts. “
